Newly released Tecno Spark 5 fits the big numbers-the official phone has a 6.6 “screen with a screen-to-body ratio of 90.2 percent, a quad camera on the back with a quad LED light, an octa-core Android 10 processor and a 5,000mAh battery.
Know this phone is on the very affordable side of things. With that in mind, let’s look at the specs more closely.
The 6.6″ screen has a resolution of 720 x 1,600px and a punch hole for the selfie 8MP sensor. Impressively, a dual LED flash is connected to the front camera-single front LEDs are very rare, two of them even more so. We’re not sure that the StB ratio of 90.2 per cent is right, but unless you care about boasting numbers, it’s not much of a concern.
In the main module the rear camera features a 13MP sensor with an aperture of f/1.8. This one is also sponsored by a relatively unusual quad LED light. Next to these are a 2MP macro camera, a 2MP sensor for depth … And a fourth arrow. Honestly, in the official specs, the role of that one is not made clear, we assume it is just there to improve the count of video.
The Tecno Spark 5 runs Android 10 with a tweak to HiOS 6.1 anyway. It is powered by an octa-core CPU (unknown chipset) with a mere 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB ram. On the back, next to the mirror, there is a fingerprint reader but the front cam can also be used for face unlock.
The phone has a battery of 5,000mAh, but charging speed was not specified so we presume it is the usual 10W. There’s 4 G with VoLTE support on the networking side, and a 3.5 mm headphone socket.
The Tecno Spark 5 is coming out soon. You can choose from four colours: Misty Green, Vacation Blue, Ice Jadeite, Spark Red. They all have a wavy grooved pattern at the back and a bit of a gradient starburst.
