UK National Cyber Security Center Issues New Statement on Cyberattack

The U.K. National Cyber Security Center is warning the nation to be on guard for another wave of cyberattacks after Friday’s massive WannaCry ransomware attack.

The nation’s National Health Service was severely impacted in Friday’s attack, forcing the country to shut down everything but emergency services in hospitals around the U.K.

The National Cyber Security Center was opened by the government in February 2017 to provide a single body for cyber security at a national level. It’s part of a five-year strategy announced in late November that’s backed by a £1.9 billion investment.
