Zimpapers has launched a digital shop that offers yet another route to connect mobile technology users to the company’s digital products. The digital hub, located at Herald House in Harare, is a one-stop shop where people can buy the latest mobile devices and other Information Communication Technologies products that will instantly be installed with Zimpapers digital offerings.
The Digihub houses Astro, Hisense, G-Tel and Huawei products among others. Zimpapers group business development and marketing officer Mr Tapuwa Mandimutsira said the company would continue to forge deals with other partners to ensure quality products were delivered to clients.
“As a fully integrated media house, we are on a journey and we will not stop. I think you heard about Star FM and Diamond FM and there are new things, which will be coming in a two or so weeks. We strongly believe in creating new things. I think Star FM was a new area and it is now a new leading station in Zimbabwe. So we don’t see ourselves as failures in terms of pushing our products,” he said.
Digihub marketing manager Ms Patience Mhlolo said people needed to know that the company had BH24, newshub, the websites and soon to come mobile news.
“The concept of the digital shop is to publicise those products. We are selling phones and we have launched money transfers such as Telecash, EcoCash and Netcash as a way of driving people to the shop. We will tell them about what we are offering when they come, especially on our digital platform,” she said.
